ENLARGED
PROSTATE
It
is of three types -: Vata, Pita, Kapha
Prostate
enlargement is common in old age with weakening of sexual function.
It can happen in younger men through excessive sexual practices
or from under supperssion of ejaculation.
Most
commonly it is a Vata (air) condition and comes in the Vata stage
of life (old age). Symptoms include lower back pain, low energy,
constipation.
Pitta
(fire) type involves infection, swelling and fever. The urine will
be dark yellow or red.
Kapha
(water) type is due to water retention and excess phlegm. Treatment
is similar to that for edema.
