cordifolia is a large climbing shrub.
Giloy is a famous plant of traditional use & its principal constituents
are tinosporine, tinosporide, tinosporaside, cordifolide, cordifol,
heptacosanol, tinosporidine.
The stem of giloy is used in dyspepsia, fevers & urinary diseases.
The plant of giloy is used in ayurvedic rasayans to improve
the immunity system & body resistance to infections. It also
shows antiperiodic, antispasmodic, antiinflamatory & antipyretic
properties. It is also used in general debility, loss of appetite
